Miniature dogs suffer due to their extreme appearance. Don’t buy one, choose a healthy dog that weighs at least 3 kilograms, or ideally, one that is at least 5 kilograms.
What is a miniature dog
Miniature dogs are extremely small dogs. They weigh less than 5 kilograms, but usually even less than 3. The dogs are so small because they have been overbred. Due to their small size, serious health and welfare problems arise. Their skulls, for example, are too small or bulging to properly accommodate their brains. As a result, these dogs suffer from severe headaches. Furthermore, their eyes are too shallowly placed in their eye socket, resulting in eye disease.
In addition to these internal problems, their legs break easily due to the delicate bone structure. They are very fragile.
